To remove burnt on grease from a hard-anodized aluminum or infused-anodized aluminum cookware, soak the pan in hot water and a liquid dish washing detergent such as Dawn® to loosen the grease and food particles. Rinse and hand wash with a Scotch Brite® Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge and Bar Keeper’s Friend® cleanser. We recommend using this cleaning method on an “as needed” basis. Staining and residue that are neglected over a period of time can become more difficult to remove and may eventually permanently stain the cookware if not periodically maintained. Do not use Scotch Brite™ Heavy Duty scrub sponges or Bar Keeper’s Friend® cleanser or other abrasive powdered cleansers on the hard-anodized aluminum exterior of Calphalon Unison Nonstick cookware as these will damage the dishwasher-safe coating and void the Warranty.
